Making the Connection: Environmental Health in Wisconsin

This activity will educate health care professionals about important environmental factors affecting human health and how best to use that information in primary care practice. The conference will also build relationships between environmental advocates and health practitioners to advocate cooperatively for public policies that promote a healthy environment.

Jointly sponsored by the Wisconsin Environmental Health Network and Physicians for Social Responsibility Wisconsin.


As a result of participation in this educational activity, participants will be able to:

1) Share knowledge about the current scientific research on health effects of exposure to environmental hazards, identify barriers and opportunities for addressing key public health problems.

2) Identify and manage significant adverse environmental health effects and apply this information to patient care.

3) Advocate for a healthier environment and foster collaboration between individuals, organizations, and government.
