ARRA (American Recovery and Reinvestment Act) Funds

This link provides resources and information on American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) funds being sent to states and other entities through states, with a focus on those funds being directed toward child health and well-being.  More information on provisions affecting child health will be provided to AAP chapters as information becomes available and is analyzed.

This database archives previously funded Community Pediatrics grant projects, including those funded through the CATCH Program, the Healthy Tomorrows Partnership for Children Program, the Community Pediatrics Training Initiative and the Healthy People 2010 Chapter Grants.

The database is searchable by seven major categories: target population, health topic, state/territory, project activity, AAP program, AAP district, and project year. By searching this database through the Member Center, you can obtain contact information of the grantees.


Community Access to Child Health (CATCH) - AAP

The 2012 CATCH Planning Funds and Cycle 1 Resident Funds Call for Proposals and online applications are available at:

This grant cycle includes a special call for projects that benefit American Indian/Alaska Native children and projects to improve access to immunizations for children who are most likely to experience barriers. More information is in the Call for Proposals/Application Guidelines.

Please review the updated guidelines, which include a link to the review form that is used for scoring the applications; revisions to the eligibility and selection criteria; allowable and unallowable expenses and specific budget guidelines for each of the programs.

To ensure project completion, residents who are in their 1st or 2nd year of residency on the application submission due date are eligible to apply; 3rd-year residents may apply if they will be chief resident in their 4th year. PGY-3 residents are eligible to apply as coapplicants.
