DHS Webinar Series: Communicable Disease Update

The following is an announcement from the Wisconsin Department of Health Services and the Bureau of Communicable Diseases (BCD).
The Bureau of Communicable Diseases (BCD) is pleased to announce our new monthly Communicable Disease Update webinar series! The series will cover a range of communicable disease topics meant for public health partners and health professionals in Wisconsin. The webinars will take place on the second Friday of every month beginning December 9th from 1-2pm. Webinars will be approximately one hour in length, including program updates from BCD and a question and answer session.
The topic of the first webinar will be tuberculosis (TB) Class B-notifications for immigrants and refugees arriving in Wisconsin. The presentation will cover TB class B status definitions, how TB status is determined, the class B notification process, and the importance of follow-up for individuals identified with a TB class B status. The presenter is Lorna Will, TB nurse consultant at the Wisconsin TB Program, with the support of other program staff.
