Learning objectives

As a result of attending this Summit, attendees will be able to:

  • Identify new and unique partners for developing and implementing systems-based, population-level prevention initiatives
  • Describe evidence-based strategies that could improve health outcomes
  • Apply maternal and child health competencies to community-based work


Target audience

Tribal, local and state public health department staff; child death review and fetal infant mortality review teams; and community organizations and partners working on or collaborating on the Maternal Child Health and Children and Youth with Special Health Care Needs objectives and Keeping Kids Alive initiatives, as well as people affiliated with academic institutions.



Funding for this Summit is provided by the Wisconsin Department of Health Services, Title V Block Grant in collaboration with the Wisconsin Department of Justice, Children’s Justice grant and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
