For Vaccines for Children (VFC) Providers: Annual Reenrollment
This is a friendly reminder for Vaccine for Children (VFC) providers that annual reenrollment is due May 11, 2018
by close of business. If you have technical questions about reenrollment, please contact the WIR Helpdesk
For Local Health Departments: Herpes Zoster Policy and Procedure
The herpes zoster vaccine section of the Immunization Program Policy and Procedure Manual has been updated to include information on Shingrix and may be found on the PCA Portal (Sharepoint).
HPV Vaccine Distribution Report
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) released a report on May 3, 2018 regarding the amount of HPV vaccine ordered in 2017 in Wisconsin (for both public and private stock). The report indicated that sufficient HPV vaccine orders were placed to vaccinate all 11-year-olds and additional doses for catch-up vaccination of older teens in Wisconsin. The increase in HPV vaccine orders is an exciting milestone towards increasing HPV vaccine coverage for pre-teens in the state.
