Wisconsin Council of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Changes Name

The Wisconsin Council of Child and Adolescent Psychiatrists has launched a new website at With this launch, the organization will now utilize the acronym WISCCAP to coincide with the website domain.



WISCCAP represents over 130 practicing child and adolescent psychiatrist throughout the state of Wisconsin. It is a state affiliate of the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (AACAP).

In April, WISCCAP held a successful annual membership meeting in Delafield. Attendees had an opportunity to hear from Gregory Fritz, MD, AACAP president, on his integrated care initiative, and to participate in dialogue on effective adaptation to electronic medical records. 

The organization is committed to fostering partnerships within the state of Wisconsin as a means for enhancing member engagement and participation. The next WISCCAP Executive Committee meeting will occur on October 1st at the conclusion of the 2016 Wisconsin Psychiatric Association Fall Conference. All WISCCAP members are welcome to participate.
